Support Friends of Lory State Park
Your donations help further our mission by allowing us to provide more support for much needed park projects and programs!
By contributing to the Friends of Lory State Park, you help ensure that the Park will remain the spectacular natural resource that it is today, providing environmental education and recreational opportunities to all.
The Friends of Lory State Park is an all-volunteer 501(c) (3) non-profit organization created to help preserve, promote, conserve and enhance Lory State Park. The Friends provides financial support for park needs not funded by the state. To this end, the Friends supports the park by conducting fundraising activities, assisting with special events, coordinating many park volunteer activities, helping to purchase new equipment and supplies, and provide assistance to park staff in many projects.
Since 2011, all Colorado State Parks have been “enterprised” and no longer receive General Funds (money from state income and sales taxes). Each park must operate like a business to fund programs and operations. Friends of Lory members and donors help bridge that gap at Lory State Park through donations and volunteer support.
